Trump held campaign rallies in 3 different states with stops in Waterford Township (Michigan), Green Bay (Wisconsin), and Rochester (Minnesota).
Meanwhile, former Vice President Joe Biden hosted a campaign event in Milwaukee on Friday to make a final pitch to voters ahead of the Nov. 3 election, before holding drive-in rallies in Des Moines in Iowa, and St. Paul in Minnesota.
In another development, by the morning of October 30 (local time), the number of voters who cast ballots in the Texas early voting period this year has now surpassed the total number of people who voted in all of 2016. The surge in votes indicates voters’ interest in this year’s election, setting a new record high of early voting in this state.
Early voting by Americans in states across the country ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3 has topped 85 million, according to an updated tally Thursday by the US Elections Project at the University of Florida. Reuters reported Thursday that 2020’s record-breaking early voting represents more than 58% of the total 2016 turnout.
