(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama said in a NBC TV interview Sunday that he will announce a plan to defeat the self-proclaimed Islamic State on Wednesday. He said he hoped for international support from Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, and Turkey to stop the militant group. Obama said the plan is similar to other counter-terrorism operations the US has conducted over the past 7 years against Al-Qaeda branches in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
