The White House said on Monday that they both condemned North Korea's fifth nuclear test and they will invigorate cooperation in the UN Security Council and law enforcement channels for the sake of a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula. Washington pressed Beijing to do more to rein in North Korea. The US said it is willing to negotiate with North Korea if Pyongyang commits to abandon its nuclear weapons.
