Trump’s executive order issued in January was halted by Judge James Robart of the Federal District Court in Seattle, Washington, who said the order is unconstitutional. The 9th Circuit Court upheld that decision on appeal, a move Trump called “overreaching” and “driven by ideology”.

100 companies, including Apple, Google, and Microsoft, have filed suit against  Trump’s immigration order, which, they say, might be detrimental to their business operation. The Attorneys General of Washington and 15 other states have filed amicus briefs supporting the lawsuit against Trump's executive order.
