Vietnam is working with UNFPA and other international organizations to carry out this strategy, said Mr. Dung.

Ms. Kitahara said the International Labor Organization (ILO), the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), the UNFPA, and Vietnam’s Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Ministry of Planning and Investment are discussing a joint program on social protection, focused on population aging. She praised this cooperation for reducing gender violence, resolving the gender imbalance, and age-related issues.

Vietnam aims to maintain a steady replacement fertility rate, balance the gender ratio, adapt to an aging population, ensure population distribution, and enhance population quality.
