They expressed deep concern over escalating tensions in the Middle East that have forced the  suspension of a conference on the Palestinian State.

Recent developments highlight the situation's fragility and the urgent need to restore calm and renew diplomatic efforts, said the co-chairs, the European Union (EU), and the Arab League in a joint statement.

They reaffirmed their commitment to ending the conflict in Gaza and achieving a just, lasting resolution to the Israel-Palestine conflict through a two-state solution, stressing the importance of regional stability and security.

The statement came amid escalating hostilities and reciprocal airstrikes between Israel and Iran,  which have resulted in casualties on both sides since Friday.
