UN Security Council extends operations in Yemen

(VOVWORLD) - The United Nations Security Council on Monday unanimously adopted Resolution 2505 to extend the mandate of the UN Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) until July 15.

The UN Security Council adopts Resolution 2505 to extend the mandate of the UN Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement on January 13, 2020.

During the session presided over by Vietnam, Mr. Carlos Ruiz Massieu, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia, gave a report on the mission’s progress over the last 3 months and put foward some proposals.

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of Vietnam’s delegation to the UN and President of the UN Security Council for January 2020, said Vietnam wants top priority given to ensuring security and development for all Colombian people.
