UN spokesperson Martin Nesirky said on Friday that UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has met with high-level diplomats of P5 which includes the 5 permanent UN Security Council members - the United States, Russia, China, Britain and France. The topic of the meeting was possible diplomatic moves to end the crisis in Syria. Ban Ki Moon reviewed the latest developments in the chemical weapons investigation in Syria. According to Reuters, US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said at a press conference on Thursday with his UK counterpart Phillip Hanmmond that the US is reconsidering the idea of supplying arms to the opposition in Syria. Hammond said the UK does not exclude the possibility of providing direct military aid.
