(VOVworld) – The United Nations for the first time marked the “World Day against Trafficking in Persons” at its headquarters in New York on Wednesday. In his message to all UN members, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon described human trafficking as a callous global industry that denies victims their rights and dignity. Criminal networks have conducted human trafficking for hefty profits.
