At an international conference on humanitarian aids in New York on the sideline of the UN summit on sustainable development, UN Humanitarian Coordinator Stephen O'Brien, called on the international community to get involved in solving the humanitarian crisis in Lake Chad, which is considered center of violence and terrorism. Mr. Stephen O'Brien said around 1 million people have left their homeland to flee to neighboring countries. He asked regional countries to provide more aid workers at site to assist the refuges.
