On the same day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that Moscow guarantees that the conclusions of its expertise conducted over use of chemical weapons in Syria were correct. He added that the investigation was made in 100-percent accordance to the standards existed in the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The minister urged relevant parties not to take advantage of claims of the Syrian opposition's use of chemical weapons to achieve diplomatic and geopolitical goals.

In another development, the United States has revoked the visa of a top Syrian diplomat Ali Daghman who tried to enter the country to take up a post at the war-torn country’s embassy.
