He said that Ukraine had been left on its own to defend their nation and that no leaders in the world were ready to give a guarantee of NATO membership and send their troops to Ukraine.

Zelensky said a total of 137 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 316 injured in the past 24 hours.

Earlier President Zelensky signed a decree on the establishment of the headquarters of the supreme commander in the country to ensure the strategic leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, and law enforcement agencies.

Countries around the world have reacted to Russia’s special military operations in eastern Ukraine.

India on Thursday convened an emergency meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security to discuss the situation in Ukraine under which it will wait for the final resolution of the United Nations Security Council before acting because both Russia and Ukraine are India’s close allies militarily and diplomatically.

South Korea said it could not unilaterally impose its own sanctions on any country, and is providing various ways of support for businesses operating in Russia and Ukraine to minimize risks.

Many other countries are calling for diplomatic solutions to avoid escalation and secure people's lives, peace, and stability in the region.
