(VOVworld) - The UK unemployment rate has fallen to 7.1%, announced the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Wednesday. The number of unemployed workers fell 167,000 to 2.32 million in the three months ending last November, the biggest drop recorded since 1997. The number of people registering for unemployment benefits decreased 24,000 to 1.25 million in December, the lowest figure in the past 5 years.
