According to the UAE news agency, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan told Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in a phone call that the UAE praises Egypt’s efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and is ready to work with any party to find a way to ease tensions and achieve peace.
Israel and Hamas, after 11 days of fighting, reached a ceasefire which began last Friday. At least 240 people, including children, died during recent clashes in the Gaza Strip.
