(VOVworld) - Anadolu News Agency reported on Sunday that Turkey formed a state of emergency coordination committee chaired by Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

The committee includes representatives from the Turkish Ministries of Interior, Justice, Labor and Social Security, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Defense, and National Education. One day before that, Turkish President Ecep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree extending the custody period without accusation to 30 days for suspects in the failed July 15th coup attempt. President Erdogan has accused Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, an American exile, of masterminding the coup attempt. He says it will be a big mistake if the US doesn’t extradite Gulen back to Turkey.
