With 14% of the expected vote tallied, Trump had 52.3% compared with 46.6% for former UN ambassador and former governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley.

New Hampshire was the first contest to feature a one-on-one matchup between Trump and Haley, after Florida governor Ron DeSantis, once seen as Trump’s strongest challenger, dropped out on Sunday and endorsed Trump.

On January 15 Donald Trump won the first Republican presidential contest in Iowa by an unprecedented margin with 51 percent of the votes to Nikki Haley’s 19 percent.

The Republican Party will next hold primary caucuses in Nevada on February 8, and a primary election in South Carolina on February 24.
