The meeting took place when Trump announced earlier in the day that he had not yet decided on the US’s participation in the conflict.

According to sources, Trump personally had approved plans for a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, but a final decision was not made.

On the same day, speaking before the Senate Committee on Armed Services, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said the US military is prepared to any decision on Iran made President Trump.

A number of US diplomats and family members were authorized to leave the US Embassy in Israel and have been evacuated on military flights. In addition, the US military has relocated some aircraft and ships from the Middle East bases due to concerns over potential attacks.
