(VOVworld) – The People’s Court of Ha Tinh province opened the trial of 14 defendants on charges of causing public disorder and resisting order in Vung Anh economic zone in May. The defendants admitted to have incited others to join an illegal march to Formosa Ha Tinh company on May 13 and 14. They entered a number of companies that employed foreign workers, caused public disorder, damaged property, resisted officials on duty, and caused traffic congestion for several hours. The jury said the acts they committed were dangerous to society and impacted foreign investment, political and social security, and public order in Vung Ang. The defendants were sentenced to between 15 to 39 months in prison.
