Chien, currently ranked 10th in the world, faced off against his opponent, who is ranked 8th. The final score was 50-30 after 27 turns.
This is the second time in history that Vietnam has won the world championship. The first was in 2018 when Vietnam hosted the event. The champion that year was none other than Chien.
