The 40-year-old is now assured of his top spot in both the Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB) World Players and UMB Events Ranking after the world cup.

Before the tournament, Quyet Chien placed second in both rankings. So far, all of his rivals have already been eliminated. 

Tran Quyet Chien, born in 1984 in Ha Tinh province, is the first Vietnamese cueist to have won the Three-Cushion Carom Billiards World Cup in 2018. Last March, he also won Vietnam’s first World Three-Cushion Championship for National Teams in Germany with Bao Phuong Vinh.
