(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Information and Communications opened a training workshop in Da Nang on Thursday to update journalists on skills in reporting major news stories during the APEC Year next year.

The APEC Year hiatus will be a summit week from November 5 to November 11, 2017, gathering 10,000 participants. Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry, Trieu Minh Long, said : “The APEC Year is a pivotal event in Vietnam’s foreign affairs policy reflecting its commitment to international integration and strengthening cooperation with APEC members. This is an opportunity for Vietnam to raise its national image and showcase its land, people and achievements to the world.”
