Traditional Ao dai preserved and promoted today

(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board will coordinate with the Club of Vietnamese Communal Houses to organize a fashion show to preserve and promote Ao dai at Hanoi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Center, 50 Dao Duy Tu Street, Hanoi, to mark Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

On November 21, a workshop on traditional Ao dai in present society, introduction of Ao dai, studying materials and garments on Ao dai, and experiencing putting on Ao dai will be held.

On November 22, Ao dai for civil servants and students, wedding dresses, Ao dai combined with modern patterns and a contemporary fashion collection on a traditional material background, will be introduced.

The fashion show will present silk Ao dai (traditional long dresses) collections made from the traditional material of Vietnam.
