Chairman Hue lauded the average annual growth rate of Yen Bai’s gross regional domestic product of 7.24% in the 2021-2023 period, ranking fifth out of 14 provinces in the region.

Yen Bai also took the lead among northern mountainous provinces in building new-style rural areas, with the provincial contributions to the State budget exceeding the assigned plan,

“Yen Bai has done a good job in the universalization of elementary and secondary education. Due attention has also been paid to ethnic minority students  at boarding schools. This effort should be sustained as it is crucial to train resources for ethnic communities," Mr. Hue said.

"Yen Bai is the first province to include a target for the happiness index in the provincial Party Congress resolution. Last year, Yen Bai residents’ happiness index reached 65.6%, a 12% increase compared to the beginning of the term.”

Chairman Hue requested the province to focus on taking care of policy beneficiaries, people in difficult circumstances, and poor households, while ensuring security and order, especially during the upcoming Tet holiday.
