The theme for this year’s AIPA 44 is “A proactive parliament for a stable and prosperous ASEAN,” aligning with ASEAN's theme “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth,” which emphasizes the adaptability of ASEAN parliaments in response to changing regional and global relations, with a focus on dialogue, consultation, coordination between legislative and executive channels, and contributing to the unity and centrality of ASEAN.
During the meeting, the leaders praised the theme of AIPA 44, saying it highlights the role of ASEAN, AIPA, and member parliaments in promoting peace, security, resilience, and sustainable development, aiming to make ASEAN a center of growth that leaves no one behind.

At a meeting on the sidelines of AIPA 44, Chairman Hue and Speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives Ferdinand Martin Romualdez agreed to enhance bilateral ties, particularly in economics, trade, and investment, with the aim of reaching a bilateral trade value of 10 billion USD.
The two sides pledged to continue working together to strengthen ASEAN's solidarity, centrality, and common voice on regional security issues, including the East Sea issue.

Meeting Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha of the House of Representatives of Thailand on Sunday, Chairman Hue said that Vietnam highly values its strengthened strategic partnership with Thailand.
Speaker Matha said the Thai parliament and government will continue creating optimal conditions for the Vietnamese community.
Thailand is currently Vietnam's largest trading partner and second-largest investor among ASEAN members.
