(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong has sent a letter to Vietnamese children at home and abroad, sharing their joy at the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.

Mr. Trong said he is happy to see the children study hard and adapt to new methods to stay safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with many of them winning prizes at competitions in Vietnam and abroad.

The Party, State, schools, families and society have always been caring for children and created the best conditions for them to grow up in a safe and healthy environment, he said. He expressed his hope that the children will continue to follow the five teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, help others in disadvantaged circumstances, and study hard to contribute to national development.

On Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended a Mid-Autumn feast at the Vietnam Women's Museum in Hanoi.
