In Jakarta, students torched vehicles and plastic road barriers in front of Parliament, local media reported, and police sprayed water cannon to disperse the protesters. Parliament had been about to pass revisions to the penal code on Tuesday, but postponed a vote on the bill at the request of President Joko Widodo.
