Thousands of foreign experts return to work in Binh Duong

Tran Van Lieu, head of the provincial management board of industrial zones, made the statement at a Wednesday press briefing on the province’s socio-economic development situation. He said almost all riot-affected businesses have resumed operation following damages caused by groups of protesters early last month.

At the briefing, Tran Van Nam, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee, said that Binh Duong maintained its high economic growth in the first five months of the year, with industrial production increasing 12% and export turnover totaling 5.5 billion USD, up 11%, generating jobs for more than 800,000 workers. Nam said that during the remaining months of 2014, Binh Duong will focus on administrative reform, and finalizing the one-door mechanism to accommodate investors.
