(VOVworld) - Binh Duong provincial authorities have met Taiwanese business representatives to review damage caused by extremists in recent protest against China. The provincial People’s Committee Chairman, Le Thanh Cung, expressed his regret, saying that task force teams have been set up to tally losses for further instruction by the Prime Minister. Taiwanese businesses committed their trust in the local government, saying that they will stabilize production for socio-economic development.
Social order has been secured in various local industrial zones, workers have returned to work and several factories have resumed operation. Head of Binh Duong provincial police’s office, Pham Xuan Truong said:“We uphold our view to express patriotism moderately and called on workers to respect law and trust the Party and State’s policies in resolving the East Sea issue peacefully and avoid any extreme behaviors.”
Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang on Friday paid a working visit to Binh Duong province. He instructed local authorities to quickly investigate and prosecute those who took the lead in causing disorder. Communications to local workers will be accelerated to ensure proper response to Chinese violation of Vietnamese sea and island territories.
