(VOVworld) - The 17th Incheon Asian Games concluded on Saturday with 14 world records and 80 Games records broken.

This year’s event drew the participation of more than 9,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories in Asia. The athletes competed for 439 medals of 36 sports events. China reaped 151 gold medals to keep their dominance at the Asian Games for the ninth consecutive times. They also collected 108 silver and 83 bronze medals from the fortnight regional sports gala. Hosts South Korea were pushed to a distant second place with 79 golds, 71 silvers and 84 bronzes.

Vietnam's 199 athletes have won a total of 36 medals, including victories for the first time in several Olympic sports.
