The program aims to pay gratitude to war invalids, martyrs’ families and national revolutionary contributors. Held for the first time in 2008, the 12 previous programs have received nearly VND 60 billion of donation  from social organizations, businesses and individuals nationwide for policy beneficiaries and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, helping them overcome their difficulties and adversities in life.

With the donation, the organizers have presented 11,000 saving books, more than 600 houses, and 5,500 scholarships to disadvantaged students. Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, Le Manh Hung, said, “We praise the significance of the program and its spin-off effect to raise public awareness in paying gratitude to heroes, martyrs, and war invalids.”
