(VOVWORLD) -To mark the 73rd anniversary of Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, leaders in the central city of Da Nang visited and presented relief to social welfare beneficiary families in the city.

They expressed their gratitude to the predecessors’ contribution for national freedom and happiness and praised heroic mothers’ exemplary role in the city’s construction.

A representative of Da Nang’s Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said the city awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother on 7 people, built 6 graves of martyrs, visited and gave gifts worth 860,000 USD to more than 45,000 policy beneficiaries.

The central highlands province of Dak Lak has presented gifts worth over 280,000 USD to revolutionary veterans and policy beneficiaries. Local businesses have joined efforts to care for the needy in terms of credit access and saving accounts.
