The event, co-organized by Thanh Hoa's provincial People’s Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the RoK Embassy in Vietnam, kick starts a series of activities marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
According to Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Committee, the province has attracted 37 FDI projects from the Republic of Korea and RoK-Japan joint ventures, with a total registered investment capital of over 3 billion USD. The Korean Government has provided more than 98 million USD worth of financial support through five ODA projects in the fields of health, education, transportation, and urban development.
RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Park Noh-wan praised the achievements of the past 30 years and called the program a launching pad for better bilateral relations.
“The achievements are a testament to the efforts and close cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, and between the two countries’ localities, agencies, and organizations. We will actively coordinate with relevant agencies to realize the goal of cultural exchange,” he said.
