(VOVworld) – The military junta won the mass popular support of the Thai people following a month in power. The “Suan Dusit Poll” conducted last week showed that 8 of 10 respondents were in favor of the performance by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), who have resolved conflicts in Thailand.

It has settled key problems such as paying overdue loans to rice farmers, who joined the rice subsidy program initiated by its predecessor, and reducing energy prices. 65% of people surveyed voted for the NCPO to remain in power until Thailand totally returns to peace.
