As of the third quarter of 2025, the province had 232 active FDI projects with total registered capital exceeding 11.3 billion USD. Most of the projects are in industrial parks like Yen Binh, Diem Thuy, and Song Cong I and II. These projects, backed by several multinational corporations, have created jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers and made a significant contribution to the province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP).

Nearly 1,500 new domestic enterprises were established during the period, with total registered capital of about 437 million USD. That brings the total number of businesses operating in the province to more than 14,100.

“Thai Nguyen province has been very supportive of businesses," said Hoang Van Duong, Chairman of the Yen Binh Investment & Development Corporation, which is developing and operating the Yen Binh II Industrial Park project, covering 300 hectares, with a total investment of more than 138 million USD.

"Our project aims to complement the existing Yen Binh I Industrial Park and form a high-tech zone that attracts investors in advanced sectors like electrical and electronic manufacturing. The semiconductor industry in Thai Nguyen has huge potential, with Samsung already exploring plans to develop a semiconductor zone in the province. We’re also working with partners to develop semiconductor packaging and testing projects at Yen Binh II Industrial Park,” he added.

In the final months of this year, Thai Nguyen hopes to attract an additional 60 million USD in investment to its industrial parks to meet its 2025 economic growth target.
