This volume is significantly higher than previous levels, according to the airport authority.

Terminal 3 currently handles about 22% of the airport’s total flight and passenger volume. On its first day, passengers experienced various modern amenities, including self-check-in kiosks, automated baggage drop-off systems, and biometric authentication via the VNeID application. These features streamlined the process, reduced paperwork, minimized physical contact, and enhanced overall safety.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport officially opened its Terminal 3 on April 19. The large, modern passenger terminal has a total designed capacity of 20 million domestic passengers per year.
