Previous rounds of talks saw little progress after Syrian forces, backed by Russia and Iran, liberated most of the territory seized by terrorists and rebels.

The 2-day meeting came a few days before the Syrian National Dialogue Congress to be held in Sochi, Russia, to find a way to end Syria’s 7-year conflict.
