The HNC said the Geneva peace talks could collapse if Damascus refuses to release commitment on politics and humanitarian issues. New rounds of Syria peace talks were resumed in Geneva last week. The major obstacle to the talks was the political future of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad who said his government will not negotiate or make any concessions.
