(VOVworld) – March 15 marks one year of political crisis in Syria, which has killed more than 8,000 people. Efforts by the Syrian government and the international community have failed to end the crisis. Speaking in Damascus on Thursday, Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman Jihad Makdissi said that the crisis is now complicated and Syria wants to resolve it by itself without outside interference.
In another development, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and Netherlands have closed their embassies in Syria to oppose the administration of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad’s failure to stop violence in the country. Earlier, Britain, France, Spain, and the US closed their embassies in Syria.
