Stenstrom said all parties agreed to new negotiations but no specific date has been announced.
The trilateral meeting was held after Ankara cancelled talks in January due to increasing tension with Stockholm.
Finland and Sweden formally applied to join the NATO alliance last May. 28 of 30 NATO members have approved their bids.
