Hundreds of young people burned cars and attacked police officers this week in three nights of riots in immigrant neighborhoods of Stockholm. Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt on Saturday convened an urgent meeting to discuss measures to put an end to the violence which has raged for the 6^th night. The riots appear to have been started by the police killing of a 69-year-old man wielding a machete in Husby this month, which prompted accusations of police brutality. Local activists said the shooting sparked anger among youths who claim to have suffered from police brutality and racism.
