Speaking at the provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure on Tuesday, Mr. Cuong also stressed the importance of establishing a streamlined, effective two-tier local government that remains close to the people.

Phu Tho should focus on implementing strategic breakthroughs and accelerating science, technology, and digital transformation as the foundation for rapid, sustainable growth. It is essential to make the private sector a true engine of the economy, strengthen international integration, effectively attract strategic investment, boost exports, and develop high-quality service industries, he said. 

“Efforts must also be made to advance healthcare, education, and human resource training, especially in technical, technological, logistics, and digital transformation fields,” President Cuong noted. 

The President further emphasized the need to harmonize socio-economic development, cultural progress, and environmental protection with national defense, security, and international integration.

He underscored the guiding principle of placing the people at the center, goal, and subject of all development strategies, while preserving and promoting the cultural identity of all ethnic groups.
