State and government leaders meet voters in HCMC and Hai Phong

(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly deputies of Ho Chi Minh city met with voters in district 4 on Sunday. He told the voters that amidst various difficulties and high public debt, Vietnam has ensured social security, national defense, and a peaceful and stable environment for development. He said scientific knowledge has been applied in production to improve productivity, product quality and values. For judicial reform, amendments and adjustments have been made to ensure procedural transparency to avoid unjust trials.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and NA deputies of Hai Phong city met with voters in Le Chan district. He informed them major viewpoints, orientations and measures of Hai Phong’s socio-economic management in the next 5 years. Mr. Dung talked about human resource development: “The government encourages universities to cooperate with foreign universities and sectors to improve the quality of education and training and reduce training costs. The government also supports the private sector to invest in education.”

Mr. Dung informed them of the government’s incentive investment in Hai Phong’s infrastructure and the northern economic hub. The government assists fishermen to build iron-clad ships equipped with communication devices for offshore fishing. He affirmed the state’s consistent viewpoint in protecting national sovereignty in the East Sea and ensuring peace, stability for national development.
