The 518-million-USD project is the biggest solar power plant in Southeast Asia, making Ninh Thuan Vietnam’s renewable energy center.

Luu Xuan Vinh, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee, said, "This is a major project that will set the province on a course of rapid, sustainable growth in the coming years. Many renewable energy projects are creating new momentum for economic growth and ensuring national energy security."
