South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Eui-do told reporters that daily travel by South Korean entrepreneurs to and from the Kaesong factory park should be possible in late January after the system has been tested for 1-2 weeks. The RFID system will allow South Korean workers to visit the factory park and return home at any time on days when they are permitted to visit the site. At the moment, people from both Koreas can visit the factory park only during a designated time. Violators are subject to a fine. Introducing the RFID system is expected to revive stalled talks on holding an investor relations (IR) session for foreign investors.
