The Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries said the inspection may take several months as it doesn’t want to affect the remaining part of the ferry as well as the remains of the missing people in the incident. Speaking to the press, Minister Yoo Ki-june said the salvage showed the determination of South Korean government to search for the bodies of 9 missing people in the accident. He said the Ministry will take any necessary measures to ensure the salvage is implemented safely and effectively.
