(VOVworld) – More than 300 representatives from political and social organizations attended a ceremony to celebrate the 90th birthday of Cuba’s former leader Fidel Castro in Buenos Aires on Thursday. The event was held by the State Workers' Association of Argentina (ATE).

Fidel Castro is a world leader who devoted his life to freedom and national liberation. At the ceremony, speakers expressed their love and admiration for the Cuban leader, his international spirit, and the solidarity between him and other nations, especially in South America. The great ideology, humanity, and achievements that Cuba has gained in healthcare,   education, and gender equality have been a source of encouragement for other countries. 

Scholars, artists, and representatives of political parties attended a celebration of Castro’s birthday in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, a group of doctors trained in Cuba got together to mark the event.
