The three-day event organized by the provincial Red Cross Society and the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion is taking place in Son La city, and Mai Son and Phu Yen district.

Cam Thi Chuyen, President of the Son La provincial Red Cross Society said the organizing board expects to receive 1,500 units of blood. 

“This year the provincial “Red Journey” program will support other localitieslacking blood for emergency cases due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Son La province is now a safe locality. Our people have a high sense of responsibility for the community and are ready to help other provinces,” Chuyen said.
