Snowden also says he didn’t make copies for himself and that he left the documents he had obtained with journalists he met in Hong Kong. This is the first official announcement from Edward Snowden since he released classified US documents in June. The American Government’s treatment of Snowden shocked the world and hurt diplomatic relations between the US and many countries including Russia, China and some of its Western allies.
