Addressing the 51st ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM), Mr. Lee said ASEAN should develop a multilateral mechanism, cooperate with like-minded partners to expand its network, and contribute to regional peace and stability.
ASEAN ministers the same day met their counterparts from China, Japan, Russia, and New Zealand, and saw Argentina and Iran formalize closer ties with the group by acceding to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in South East Asia.
