(VOVworld) – Many young people and visitors signed on a large map at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi on Saturday to assert Vietnam’s national sovereignty. This was part of a series of activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to call on everyone to contribute to national construction and defense.

The 680 square meter map is the largest in Vietnam, which is aimed at promoting national pride and patriotism. Nguyen Thi Sinh of La Ha ethnicity from Son La province said: “I and people from 4 ethnic groups participated in this program. We hope that our signatures will help to assert the nation’s sovereignty.”

The program to collect signatures will close on Sunday. The map will then be presented to soldiers and people in Truong Sa district island.
